11 Life without Limits Tribute to Bob Wallace 1944-2017 “Robert M. “Bob” Wallace, Jr. was born in Jamestown, NY, January 5, 1944. He passed away on August 4, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert M. Wallace, Sr. who was killed in WWII. Bob was raised by his late mother and stepfather Doris and Don Holbrook in Westfield, NY. He leaves behind to continue celebrating his life his wife of 22 years Helen (Runk) Wallace.They were married September 16, 1994. He is survived by two sons, Michael B. Wallace (Leslie) of Oviedo, FL and Robert A. Wallace of Scottsdale, AZ; three stepdaughters, Kimberly A. (Chad) Thompson, Stacy L. (Eric) Tice, and Jennifer D. (Boyd) Dunn; six grandchildren, Carmen Dunn, Lance Thompson, Ireland Dunn, Mackenzie Wallace, Isabel Wallace, and Brayden Dunn. He was a 1962 graduate of Westfield Academy and Central School. He graduated from Parsons College in Fairfield, Iowa. An avid tennis player his whole life, he won the Western NY Section 8 Class Doubles Championship three years in a row while attending high school. Bob was a lifelong HR Professional, working at Mid-State Bank in Altoona, Keystone Financial, National Bank of PA in Hermitage, and he opened his own HR consulting firm, the Wallace Group, LLC.” The above obituary is care of Hetrick-Bitner Funeral Home at: www.BitnerCares.com It’s with great sadness that we share the news that UCP recently lost a dedicated and deeply passionate supporter, advisor, and friend when 2017 Board Chair Bob Wallace lost his battle with cancer on August 4, 2017. “I am thankful he is at peace now, but he is missed dearly by so many of us here at UCP and within the community he served so faithfully. Bob was an extremely vibrant man who was incredibly dedicated to the mission of UCP to help people with disabilities live a life without limits.
