EPA’s Checklist of Priority Practices for Water Systems This video recording demonstrates how to use EPA’s Checklist of Priority Practices for Water Systems, which was added to EPA’s Small System RRA Checklist and ERP Template in 2024. If a water system already has an RRA, EPA recommends that the water system fill out and add this checklist to their existing RRA for a deeper dive into cybersecurity resilience. epa w orkshops on r isk anD r esilienCe a ssessMents (rra s ) anD e MergenCy r esponse p lans (erp s ) Earlier this year, EPA hosted workshops to help community water systems (CWSs) serving over 3,300 people to prepare (or review and revise) their risk and resilience assessments (RRAs) and emergency response plans (ERPs) to EPA by specified deadlines every five years. Five-year re-certification deadlines are upon us, with deadlines occurring throughout 2025 and 2026. These actions are required under Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) section 1433, which was amended by America's Water Infrastructure Act (AWIA) section 2013.
