7 UCP Culture around the agency In past issues of Life without Limits, we introduced the “UCP Culture” initiative and shared the six core principles that are essential to sustaining a culture of excellence across the agency. The six principles are: • Consumer first • Communication • Connected Last summer we introduced “Living the Principles”--UCP’s agency-wide recognition program which was was designed to allow us to recognize more staff, more often, for the good work they do day in and day out. As this issue goes to print, 121 individuals have been nominated for the STAR (Special Thanks And Recognition) Award. Of those staff, 32 have been further selected as ACE (Agency Cultural Excellence) Award winners. Human Resources around the agency How would you like to support UCP right now… without making a commitment of time or money? Simply read on to learn how you can have a significant impact on UCP’s programs and the people we serve. Under the direction of in-house recruiter Lindsay Unger, UCP has launched an intentional effort to recruit quality candidates from among our extended family of loyal supporters across the midstate. That means you… and those in your sphere of influence! We currently have positions available at nearly 40 sites across Central Pennsylvania including our home office in Camp Hill. All offer the following key benefits, based on employment status: • Medical for employees • Flexible Spending Accounts • Paid Time Off • Dental and Vision • Retirement (403B) • Wellness Program Incentive In an effort to help raise awareness of this initiative, we have developed the UCP Careers Without Limits logo you see above. You will find this graphic on UCP’s social media, on yard signs around the midstate, and in our print materials. If you know someone who could be a potential candidate or might be interested in learning about the career oppor- tunities available at UCP, please send the information on to them! Or have them contact: UCP HR Recruiter Lindsay Unger 717.737.3477, x 151 www.ucpcentralpa.org/jobs • Innovation • Inspiring leadership • Teamwork Today, we invite you, our extended UCP family, to help us recognize our “unsung heroes.” If you know of a UCP employee (at any level across the agency) who has demonstrated superior performance or attitude in their day- to-day interactions with you or a loved one, please consider nominating that person or team for a STAR award. The action--or the attitude--doesn’t have to be heroic. It just needs to be an authentic example of who we are and what we do on our best days. The process to nominate a STAR is simple: 1) Visit www.UCPCultureAtWork.org 2) Click on “Recognize a UCP Team Member” to complete a brief online nomination form. 3) Select one of the six core principles that are key to our culture of excellence. 4) Tell us briefly in your own words how your nominee embodies that principle. 5) Choose to be identified or remain anonymous. 6) Hit SUBMIT. That’s all it takes to nominate your very own rock STAR! Life without Limits
