municipalauthorities.org │ 43 ecycling Workers Week! T he York County Solid Waste Authority would like to thank all of the women and men who work daily to keep our neighborhoods and streets clean and safe in York County and all of Pennsylvania. From the waste collectors who pick up our trash each week to the attendants who sort recyclables to the men and women who manage waste disposal facilities, we appreciate you today and every day for keeping Pennsylvania and York County clean. It takes a dedicated group of individuals in all parts of the waste industry to make it run smoothly and efficiently. Waste and recycling workers make it easy for residents to dispose of their trash and recycling in the proper and environmentally safe way. Thank you to all waste and recycling workers for a job well done! S y ork c ounty s oLid W aste a uthority By Jennifer Cristofoletti, Community Services Division Manager, York County Solid Waste Authority plays a vital role in advancing environmental stewardship across our region. Among this impressive group, two organizations, Centre Markets and State College Presbyterian Church, were honored with the prestigious Emerald Award, recognizing exceptional leadership and measurable progress in sustainability. All awardees were celebrated at our April 14 luncheon and highlighted individually online, with continued recognition throughout the year. Stronger Together Whether it’s the employees who power our daily operations or the community partners leading the way in sustainability, one thing is clear: progress happens when people care. At the Centre County Recycling and Refuse Authority, we are proud to stand alongside both our team and our community, celebrating their efforts, recognizing their impact, and working together toward a more sustainable future for Centre County.
