This bill was unanimously approved and reported out of the Senate Communications and Technology Committee, as amended, on October 28 th . Senate Bill 1094 (Senator Nick Pisciottano, Allegheny) – This bill would amend the Workers' Compensation Act by adding protections for workers suffering permanent scarring or disfigurement as the result of workplace injuries. This bill was referred to the Senate Labor and Industry Committee. Regulatory Proposed Rulemaking: Environmental Lab Accreditation Fees PMAA supports the need for sustainable funding of Pennsylvania’s environmental laboratory accreditation program but argues that the proposed 27% fee increase would impose disproportionate financial burdens on water and wastewater system laboratories, especially smaller ones. We request greater transparency on costs, question staffing needs amid declining lab numbers, and urge the EQB to consider alternative, more equitable funding approaches.
