48 The Authority │ December work, continuing with the Carnegie training programs, traveling abroad with his wife, Sharon, and spending more time with his family, including his two adult children and five grandchildren. Bellitto stated, "It has been the honor of my lifetime, and the pinnacle of my career, to have served in a leadership role as the Executive Director of the North Penn Water Authority for two-thirds of my 40-year career in the water industry. I am grateful to our Board of Directors, and to my predecessor Harry Borchers, for this unique opportunity. And I appreciate our dedicated staff of hard-working employees who so diligently carry out their jobs to ensure that our customers have a continuous supply of safe, reliable, high-quality water delivered to them every day. It has been a real privilege for me to serve in this role for so long." At NPWA’s 60 th Anniversary Open House held at their Operations Center on September 18, Bellitto was presented with a plaque to officially dedicate the Authority’s Boardroom in his honor. Bellitto’s successor will be Keith Hass, now currently serving as Deputy Executive Director. Hass was previously employed as the Executive Director of the Doylestown Township Municipal Authority. He brings over 25 years of experience in the water business, including prior employment with NPWA back in the early 2000s as the Engineering Manager, and also at NPWA’s Forest Park Water Treatment Plant, where he was employed as the Water Quality Engineer. Hass’ professional background and prior work experience have prepared him very well to step into the role of NPWA’s next Executive Director.
