PMAA’s 83 rd Conference at Wind Creek Bethlehem was a huge success and great conference experience for all! The theme of Be the Change meaning to lead by example and proactively address industry challenges through innovation and forward thinking solutions to drive meaningful progress was the common thread throughout. Educational sessions including a new dynamic forum for the general session featuring flash talks to share ideas, learn from one another, and explore real solutions for immediate implementation sparked enthusiasm and energetic engagement. Of the 30 sessions, 21 offered continuing education credits: engineers (15 PDHs), solicitors (eight CLEs), and operators (three credits). Collectively, participants earned a total of 397 credits! At the annual awards banquet, we celebrated and recognized those individuals for their dedicated service to their authorities, their commitment to professionalism and engagement within their communities, and their outstanding contributions to the industry. Gathering together provided invaluable opportunities for building lasting connections, forging new friendships, and strengthening professional relationships. Telling your stories on Authorities on Air, PMAA’s official podcast launched earlier this year, was a new and exciting venture for participants. Thank you to everyone – attendees, vendors, presenters, and sponsors for making this a truly outstanding and unforgettable conference! PMAA’s service awards are designed to promote interest in good authority administration and operation, and to recognize faithful and effective service by authority officials. s ahlI s ervICe a ward Russell Albert II (23 Years) Smithfield Sewer Authority Matthew Behler (28 Years) Bowmanstown Authority Joseph Civitella (28 Years) Bowmanstown Authority Dan Goldinger (28 Years) Kittanning Suburban Joint Water Authority Jonathan Hartzell (20 Years) North Penn Water Authority James Kanavy (27 Years) Moscow Sewer Authority John Markley (21 Years) Schwenksville Borough Authority Christopher Norris (21 Years) North Penn Water Authority Doylestown Borough New Oxford Municipal Authority Vijay Rajput (25 Years) Lower Bucks County Joint Municipal Authority Russell Stout (26 Years) East Bangor Municipal Authority e xtended s ervICe a ward Patrick Fresh (35 Years) West Branch Sewer Authority Timothy Hagey (38 Years) Chalfont-New Britain Joint Sewer Authority Warminster Municipal Authority Telford Borough Authority Joseph Legnasky (42 Years) Lake City Municipal Sewer Authority Sharon Purnell (40 Years) Hamilton Township Municipal Authority Je “t ed ” k uhn s ervICe a ward James Ternent (52 Years) West Hills Area Water Pollution Control Authority 2025 s ervICe a ward r eCIpIents Tim Hagey (left) with Terri Hauser (right).
