It was at that time Tom became Director of Market- ing/Valves for this $1.4 billion dollar annual revenue multi-national firm with divisional headquarters in Ger- many, Denmark, North America, Italy, and the United Kingdom. Tom is credited with seven United States Patents with corresponding foreign registrations in the field of hy- draulics, electro-hydraulics and fluid power. At the age of 34, he was elected and served on the Northampton Town- ship Board of Supervisors serving a population of 40,000. He served as a Board member of the Bucks County Opportunity Council for 4 years, and Board member of the Bucks County Community College Foundation Board for 17 years. He has served on the PMAA Con- ference Committee, DCED’s Local Government Advisory Committee, and as Region 1 Director. Dwight D. Hoare, Immediate Past President Dwight is the manager of the St. Marys Area Water Authority (SMA- WA) in Elk County since 2002. In addition to serving as PMAA President this past year, he also served on the Conference Committee, the Legisla- tive Committee/Water Subcommit- tee, the Organizational Development Committee, the Program Advisory Committee, as an Unemployment Compensation Trustee, and as Region 7 Director. SMAWA is an operating authority pro- viding water service to approximately 7,400 customers in the St. Marys area. Prior to entering the water industry in 2002, Dwight owned and operated Allegheny Engineering, Inc. located in St. Marys where he managed civil engineering projects for both public and private clients throughout north- western Pennsylvania. Dwight is a licensed engineer in both Pennsylvania and New York and main- tains operating licenses for both water and wastewater systems. He graduat- ed from Penn State in 1990 with a BS degree in civil engineering. Craig A . Bubb, 2nd Past President Craig is the Executive Director of the Municipal Authority of the Borough of Lewistown (MABL). He attended Penn State University from 1990 to 1994 where he pursued a degree in Biochemistry. Following a three year employment term with Marlette Homes, Inc. as a Customer Service Technician, he was hired by the Municipal Authority of the Borough of Lewistown as a Meter Reader. Over the next seven years, Craig was promoted to Staff Assistant and then to Assistant Superintendent for three years. He also held the position of Water Production Manager. Craig has a wealth of hands-on knowl- edge with regards to the daily opera- tions of the entire system. From December 2004 to the present, Craig has served as the Executive Director of the Authority. In this capacity he is responsible for the daily operations in the field, operations at the treatment plant and dam, as well as oversight of office personnel. MABL has 25 full time employees, serves nearly 11,000 customers, and has a $5 million operating budget. In addition to serving as PMAA President in 2019, he was Region 5 Director from 2013-2016, serves on the Legislative Committee/Water Sub- committee, William H. Markus Award Committee, Nominating Committee, Program Advisory Committee, and as an Unemployment Compensation Trustee.
